Baker Furnace Celebrates American Made Matters® Day

November 19th is American Made Matters® Day, a day to celebrate American-made products and to educate the American public on the importance of buying products made in the U.S.A. Currently, the U.S. has the world’s largest consumer base which creates nearly 1,000,000 jobs that are vital to our economy and our communities.

According to Statistic Brain, over 2.3 million jobs were outsourced in 2015 alone, with manufacturing leading the way with 53 percent. According to the Economy Policy Institute, in 2013, manufacturing industries made up 12.5 percent of the GDP, resulting in $2.1 trillion dollars being generated. For every dollar spent on manufacturing in the U.S., $1.35 is added to the economy, which strengthens our economy and creates more jobs.

At Baker Furnace, we support creating a stronger America. By working together to create jobs, secure our economy, and stay independent, we can continue to foster American growth for many generations to come.

The overall goal of American Made Matters® Day is to educate the public and encourage everyone to purchase at least one American-made product on November 19th. American Made Matters® consists of more than 375 members and sponsor companies, with that number growing each year. Members represent a wide range of industries, such as apparel, steel fabrication, toys, and more. At Baker Furnace, we’re proud to support American Made Matters® and hope you’ll join forces with us by buying American made products this November 19th, and year round.
